Transitive verbs

Verbs like give - ask are transitive.

They pattern like this:

Several divalent verbs, the VN-constructions are formed from trivalent ones: rîkuì give birth, rî,ar surrender, ta,ar capture.

These all pattern like the verbs they are formed from, except that since the PATIENT is built-in, this role is skipped.

Causation

Statives can be made into transitive verbs with -ac:

The difference between aì- and ë-:
aìry krura fenaþ nobody killed him (he wasn't killed by someone)
ëX krura fenaþ he wasn't killed (he died naturally)
aìgav krura fenaþ he was killed, but not by a dog
